If you’re trying to jam to your favorite tunes on Apple Music through your PS5 and getting silence instead, you’re not the only one. Social media and Reddit are flooded with complaints from PS5 users experiencing the same issue: Apple Music just isn’t playing any sound.

Many users report that they’ve tried the usual fixes like restarting the app, reinstalling, signing out and back in, and even rebuilding the PS5’s system database, but nothing seems to get Apple Music working. As one user on X put it, “sound on Apple Music on PS5 isn’t coming through. I’ve tried everything.” And they’re not alone. Other PS5 users are chiming in with similar frustrations, with another saying, “My Apple Music is not playing on my PS5. Apple Music is the only app not working.”

Over on Reddit, users are discussing the problem in the AppleMusic subreddit, with one user sharing, “I have tried to reinstall the app, sign out and sign back in again, rebuild the system database and reset cache, nothing I do will get music to play on Apple Music on my PS5.” And they’re not the only one, several others have echoed the same issues, trying all possible troubleshooting methods to no avail.

The problem seems to affect users worldwide, with reports coming in from Japan as well. One user from the region mentioned that they wanted to play games while listening to music on Apple Music but couldn’t get any sound, even though other audio worked just fine on their PS5. So, it’s clear the issue is specific to Apple Music on the console.

Some users have speculated that this might be a server issue on Apple’s side, especially since Apple Music appears to work on other devices, just not on the PS5. This isn’t the first time users have experienced disruptions with Apple Music on PlayStation; similar complaints popped up just a couple of months ago. The platform may just need time to push out a fix, but Apple has yet to release an official statement or update regarding the issue.

For now, it seems like PS5 users hoping to stream Apple Music while gaming might have to wait for a solution or find alternative ways to listen. If you’re dealing with the silence yourself, at least take comfort in knowing you’re not alone.
