The long-awaited Bleach Rebirth of Souls hit the gaming world recently. Fans were thrilled to dive into this new title based on the popular anime and manga series. But that excitement has taken a hit. Many players, especially on PC, are running into serious technical problems. Crashing and audio glitches are the big culprits, and they’re leaving gamers frustrated.
Crashing issues
Reports of the game crashing are popping up all over Reddit and Steam. Players can’t seem to get far without the game shutting down. Matinacho on Reddit summed it up, saying, “The game in steam is literally unplayable and im crying.” Wise-Friendship-8924 chimed in with, “mine just crashes when i start the game.” Another user, here-iam-here, got to the settings menu, tweaked some options, and then bam — crash city. Ancient_Equipment915 couldn’t even make it to the menu.
Not everyone’s having the same trouble though. 2TapClap said they breezed through the tutorial no problem. But SnooSprouts3744 and HHNiklas20 weren’t so lucky. They hit black screens and crashes in the same spot. Over on Steam, Gambious bragged about playing six hours straight with zero issues. Others weren’t buying it. Moon “nd Roses and Monarch reported crashes, with Monarch adding that audio cuts out too. Apparently, a game developer tested it on three PCs — including a $5k rig — and still faced “critical game breaking issues.”
The developers know it’s a mess. They’ve started a PC Crash Report Thread on Steam, asking players to send in their Windows version and PC specs. They even suggested a fix for a red screen glitch — switch the display quality to “High performance.”
Brand Manager Ryan Wagner jumped on X, asking fans to share their specs to “get this lame ass crash issue out of the way and on to peak Bleach goodness.”
Audio issues
Then there’s the sound problem. Some players hear nothing at all, while others get audio that fades in and out. Mundane-Effect-1332 on Reddit asked, “anybody else got issues where there is just no audio at all?” They found a fix by tweaking Windows sound settings in the Volume mixer and picking the right output device. ChampionAceX3 had a tip for DS5 controller users — start the game first, then plug in the controller to avoid audio going to the controller’s speaker.
Klocyr’s experience was wilder. They said, “the sound once comes on and once doesn’t? Feels pretty random.” They also hit other bugs like a greyed-out tutorial screen and crashes when exiting it. In offline versus mode, character models didn’t load — just shadows—and the game crashed again.
These issues are souring what should’ve been a big moment for Bleach fans. That said, we’ll keep track of the situation and will post an update if and when there are any further developments. Feel free to drop a comment below letting us know if you too are facing similar problems with the game.
