Some users are reporting that iPhone notifications are no longer working on macOS 15.1 after updating their devices. The issue seems to affect notifications mirrored from iPhone apps, with some users saying that their previously functional setup is now broken.
Multiple complaints have surfaced on Reddit and other forums, with users noting that the “Mirror iPhone Notifications From” list on their Mac is either empty or missing many apps. One user shared that only password-related notifications appear, while another reported seeing just 6-7 apps listed, down from 50+ before the update.
Despite checking all relevant settings, users say the problem persists. “I was loving the convenience of getting Duo notifications on my Mac,” one person noted. They tried rebooting both their Mac and iPhone and toggling notification settings without success, lamenting that the issue started right after updating to macOS 15.1 and iOS 18.1.
It’s unclear if the problem affects all users. I’m currently running macOS 15.1 on my MacBook, and I’ve noticed that some notifications are indeed missing. When I dive into the Settings page, I only see a small list of apps in the “Mirror iPhone Notifications From” section. I don’t clear my notifications often, so I still see the older notifications from some apps (before installing macOS 15.1), however, I’ve stopped receiving any newer notifications from multiple apps.
Some users have suggested re-pairing the iPhone Mirroring app as a temporary fix. However, even this workaround only restores notifications for some apps, leaving others inaccessible. “Can’t wait for 15.1.1 to come sooner enough,” another frustrated user wrote, hoping for a quick fix.
While a few users reported that notifications started working again after a day or two, others are holding out for a macOS update to resolve the issue. One user mentioned contacting Apple Support and is awaiting feedback from an engineer. In the meantime, those affected can only wait and hope Apple addresses the glitch soon. Feel free to drop a comment below letting me know if you’ve found a workaround for the problem that sticks.
