EA is currently investigating an issue in The Sims 4 where players are missing their Happy Home login event rewards. The problem, which has surfaced after the most recent update on September 18, is affecting users across multiple platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. Players have reported that their previously earned rewards, such as exclusive in-game items and traits, have disappeared from the game’s build mode catalog and CAS.

The issue was first acknowledged by The Sims Direct Communications team on X. They posted that they are “aware & currently investigating” the missing items and are actively tracking the issue on EA’s AnswersHQ forum. While they haven’t provided a concrete solution yet, EA encourages affected players to remain patient as the team works on a fix.

According to the post, EA is gathering save files from players on PlayStation consoles to aid the investigation. However, they noted that Xbox players are currently unable to submit save files for analysis, complicating the process slightly for those users.

“Don’t worry Xbox fans, we’re investigating this for your platform too,” said an EA community manager in the forum.

Numerous players across different platforms have expressed their frustration with the bug. One player on Xbox Series S, who had completed all the logins for the event, reported: “I completed all the event logins and received all items but after today’s update (9/18/24) all items are missing from my game, playing on Xbox series S”

Others on PlayStation and PC echoed similar issues, with some pointing out that there is no way to back up the event rewards on console, leaving them feeling stuck until a resolution is reached.

“I was so excited for the new login event, but now everything is gone,” lamented one PS5 user. “How can I see the items again in the catalog?”

Several players have speculated that the problem may stem from a glitch related to the latest game patch, which seems to have inadvertently removed the rewards from game catalogs.

Despite the inconvenience, there’s some hope on the horizon. EA announced that tomorrow’s Reaper’s Rewards event will use an updated system where claimed rewards are linked directly to a player’s EA Account. This aims to minimize the chances of lost rewards going forward, ensuring that progress and claimed items are safer from potential glitches. However, this new system doesn’t address the current issue for those who lost their Happy Home rewards.

EA has yet to provide a timeline for when the missing items will be restored, but they have reassured players that they are working on a fix. We’ll keep tabs on the situation and will update the article if and when there’s any further information.
