Samsung Good Lock modules are like a Swiss Army knife for power users, letting them tweak everything from navigation gestures to home screen layouts. But if you just unboxed your new Galaxy S25 and went searching for the Home Up module in Good Lock, you might have felt a sudden wave of confusion. It’s not there.

Now, I don’t have a Galaxy S25 with me to check this. But going by the reports online, it seems that Samsung, in its infinite wisdom, may have unbundled Home Up from Good Lock, and you now have to dig a little deeper to find it. The update to version 16.0.00.56 finally brought One UI 7.0 support, added Edge Panels, and even introduced home screen animation tuning — a feature that got many users excited. But excitement quickly turned to frustration when S25 users couldn’t locate the module in Good Lock anymore.

Where did Home Up go?

Fear not! Home Up is still alive and kicking; you just have to look in a different place. Samsung has integrated it directly into the home screen settings. Here’s how to find it:

  1. Long-press your home screen.
  2. Tap on Settings.
  3. Scroll down and look for More customization.

That’s where Home Up now lives. If you don’t see the More customization option, you’ll need to manually install the latest Home Up APK to ensure you’re on the newest version.

Another workaround: Fine Lock

If digging through settings isn’t your thing, there’s another way to access Home Up. Some users have found success using Fine Lock, a launcher for Good Lock and Galaxy Labs. It allows you to open Home Up without needing to mess around with APK installations or hidden settings.

Fine-Lock-app

It’s still unclear why Samsung decided to exile Home Up from Good Lock, but with One UI 7 still in beta for most devices, the company might be making some last-minute adjustments before a wider stable rollout. Hopefully, we’ll get more clarity when One UI 7 officially lands on more Galaxy phones.

For now, Galaxy S25 users can rest easy knowing Home Up hasn’t disappeared — it’s just playing hide and seek. And now, you know where to find it.
