It looks like the much-anticipated stable version of One UI 7, based on Android 15, might be dropping sooner than we thought. A keen-eyed Samsung tipster, Tarun Vats, recently spotted a stable One UI 7 build on Samsung’s servers, sending waves of excitement through the tech community.

For those of you keeping track, Samsung’s One UI 6 beta program last year had nine updates, so it wasn’t unreasonable to expect a similar flurry for One UI 7. However, after the release of Beta 3 (ZXLJ), things went a bit quiet on the beta front. That silence was broken when Vats took to X to share his discovery: a stable One UI 7 build labeled BYA2.

“Since Beta 3 (ZXLJ) dropped, no new beta builds have been spotted. But today, the One UI 7 stable build (BYA2) just hit the servers! This might mean Beta 3 is the final beta & next stop may be the stable release,” Vats revealed.

The current firmware for the Galaxy S24 is sitting at version AXKA, which is based on Android 14 (One UI 6.1.1). The newly spotted BYA2 build marks a significant jump, indicating a major version update. For those who live and breathe Samsung updates, this jump from “A” to “B” isn’t just a letter change — it’s a big deal!

Adding fuel to the excitement, Vats noted that the latest stable build for the Galaxy S24 is the same as that for the upcoming Galaxy S25. This synchronicity suggests that the Galaxy S25 could launch with Android 15 pre-installed, aligning with Samsung’s usual strategy of having their latest flagship ship with the newest OS.

But before we all start counting down the days, it’s worth noting that Vats did include a disclaimer:

Disclaimer: If we find a new beta build on the test server, this will not happen.

So, while the signs are pointing towards an imminent release, nothing is set in stone. Samsung could still sneak in another beta if needed.

The prospect of One UI 7’s stable release is thrilling for several reasons. First, it means smoother performance, new features, and a polished user experience for Galaxy users. Second, with the Galaxy S25 launch around the corner, having Android 15 ready to roll out ensures that Samsung stays ahead in the competitive smartphone market.

Let’s also not forget that Google’s newest Pixel 9 flagships launched with Android 14 and only later received the Android 15 update. Samsung could follow a similar path, but the presence of a stable build for both the Galaxy S24 and S25 suggests they’re aiming to hit the ground running with Android 15.

While we can’t mark our calendars just yet, all signs point to Samsung gearing up for the stable release of One UI 7. Whether it’s a matter of days or weeks, the excitement is palpable. Stay tuned, keep your devices charged, and get ready for what could be the next big update in the Galaxy universe.
