Original article published on July 22, 2024, follows:

There seems to be a major glitch with YouTube that’s causing newly uploaded videos to vanish into thin air. Creators across the platform are scratching their heads as their content disappears without a trace. Based on the timeline of reports I found on X, it seems the problem was first noticed around an hour ago.

The issue seems to affect both regular videos and YouTube Shorts. Creators report that after uploading, their videos simply don’t show up in YouTube Studio or on their channels. It’s like they never existed. Safwan AhmedMia (SuperSaf), a popular tech YouTuber, posted the following:

Similarly, many other creators from around the world have posted about the same problem:

And it’s not just on X. Several YouTubers have also taken to Reddit to seek help. Creators have tried everything from checking different devices and browsers to restarting their equipment, but nothing seems to fix the problem. The glitch doesn’t discriminate – it’s hitting channels big and small.

While multiple creators have tagged YouTube’s Creator support team on X, they’ve not yet provided a satisfactory answer to anyone. Here’s what they responded with to SuperSaf:

mind sharing a screenshot or short vid clip of what you’re experiencing? also, can you try checking for any app updates + restarting your device if you haven’t yet? lmk how that goes

Since there’s no known workaround or official word on the situation, creators are left in limbo, unable to share their content or even access videos they’ve uploaded today.

The YouTube community is buzzing with reports and theories about what’s causing this digital disappearing act. For now, creators are advised to hold off on uploading new content until YouTube sorts out this mysterious glitch.

We’ll keep you updated as this story develops. In the meantime, if you’re a creator experiencing this issue, you’re definitely not alone.
