Supercell took to X to confirm that they’re actively working to address several bugs that have surfaced following the latest update. Players have been vocal on social media, particularly on X and Reddit, about issues with the Builder Apprentice, Supercharges, Magic Snacks, and game crashes when opening chests.
Supercell has officially acknowledged the problems in a recent post on X, saying:
Hello Chief, we are aware of the current bugs with the Supercharges’ not disabling while upgrading, Magic Snack timers expiring offline, Builder Apprentice not working properly in Supercharges & crashes when opening Chests. We are working as fast as possible to fix these, and we will keep you posted as soon as we have some news. Apologies for the inconvenience!
Builder Apprentice bugs leaves many frustrated
The most prominent complaint revolves around the Builder Apprentice. Many players have reported that the Builder Apprentice is not functioning correctly when used with Supercharges, which are supposed to provide a significant boost during upgrades.
One player, noted, “Please fix the Builder apprentice. No process since update!!” Meanwhile, another expressed confusion about the feature’s functionality, stating, “It says I’ve saved 10hrs here, but in reality both inferno upgrades started on the same day, so how is this possible??”
Other players echoed similar sentiments, highlighting that their Builder Apprentice was failing to deduct time during upgrades, which left many wondering about the feature’s effectiveness. Complaints also poured in about the Builder Apprentice being rendered useless on Supercharged buildings, making the new mechanic feel underwhelming and unreliable.
Magic Snack timer and Supercharge issues
Another widespread issue involves Magic Snacks, a new consumable item that provides players with temporary boosts. Reports indicate that the Magic Snack timers expire offline or behave unpredictably. One user vented their frustration about losing their snacks unexpectedly, saying, “Magical snacks expire plz return my game.”
On the flip side, some players found that the snacks were not expiring correctly, with one player, humorously commenting, “My clan reinforcement magic snack is not expiring even after 12 hrs, and I’m enjoying the 2nd 12 hrs without having one.”
Supercharges, another recently added feature, are also bugged, as mentioned by Supercell. Apparently, they do not disable as intended during ongoing upgrades, leading to confusion and gameplay disruptions.
Crashes when opening chests
Adding to the list of issues, players have experienced crashes when opening chests, further detracting from the gaming experience. Supercell has acknowledged this and is working on a fix, though no timeline has been provided for the resolution of these crashes.
Supercell’s response
As mentioned above, the devs are aware of the issues and are already working to fix them. While the team has promised to keep the community informed as they work through these fixes, there’s no definitive timeline for when the issues will be resolved. As more information becomes available, Supercell will likely provide further updates on X. So you might want to give the Clash of Clans profile a follow if you haven’t done it already.
