Update 16/01/25 – 11:37 am (IST): Following the widespread reports of issues with the Streak Event in Clash of Clans, Supercell has issued an acknowledgment regarding the bug that was ruining the event for many players. They confirmed that the event, released last Monday, encountered unexpected bugs where the first task was automatically completed, and subsequent attacks were not counted towards event progression for some players.

Supercell has since released maintenance to address and fix these issues. To compensate for the inconvenience and express their gratitude for the patience shown by the community, they’ve announced an extension of the Streak Event by 2 days, alongside introducing a 4x Daily Star Bonus Event from January 16th to January 19th and a 1-Gem Resource Boost from January 16th to January 20th.

Original article published on January 15, 2025, follows:

Clash of Clans players are frustrated after a bug in the latest Streak Event left many unable to advance despite successful attacks. Supercell, the game’s developer, acknowledged the issue and promised a fix, but the glitch has already dampened the event’s excitement.

In the event, players are tasked with completing consecutive successful attacks to earn rewards. However, several players have reported that their victories aren’t being registered. One Reddit user wrote, “Just three-starred someone but didn’t get any progress toward the second streak.” Others echoed similar complaints, sharing stories of repeated attacks failing to count.

Some players believe the problem may be linked to receiving the first stage of the streak for free. “Did you also get the first step of the streak for free? I read somewhere that may be part of the issue,” one player speculated. Despite various theories, no clear workaround has emerged.

The issue isn’t new. Many recall facing a similar glitch during a past Streak Event. “This occurred a few months ago too,” a user wrote. “What is the dev team doing?” Frustration is widespread, with players asking for compensation if the issue isn’t fixed soon. “I better get those glowy ores in the end,” one player commented, adding a touch of humor to the complaints.

On X, the outcry is even louder. “You guys always have trouble with the streak event! I’m not surprised,” one user posted. Others called for better testing before events roll out. “Just give us a week with no hero regen or something if the streak events won’t work,” suggested another.

Supercell’s support site acknowledged the problem, stating, “We are aware of an issue where successful attacks are not registered for the Streak Event. The team is working to fix this as soon as possible, so please bear with us!”

For now, players can only wait and hope Supercell resolves the issue before the event ends. Until then, the streak remains stuck — and so does the frustration.
