Good news, though. There’s a quick trick that’s helping users out. People like bearlady50 and Silvercomp discovered that simply flipping your iPad’s orientation can bring Marketplace back to life. If you’re using it horizontally (landscape mode), turn it upright to portrait mode, then flip it back to horizontal. This little move refreshes the page and loads the Marketplace content.
bearlady50 put it like this: “When you get the dreaded white page, turn your iPad in the opposite direction that you are using to browse then back again and FB Marketplace will reappear.” Silvercomp chimed in too, saying, “When having the Marketplace open with the white page present, I tilted the iPad from landscape to portrait, and then back to landscape, and then the Marketplace page updated with the ads.”
This fix is the best option going right now. It’s fast, easy, and beats restarting your iPad every time. You can do it in just a few seconds, which is a relief for frequent Marketplace users.
Still, this is only a Band-Aid. The real issue needs a proper fix from Facebook. For now, this orientation flip can get you back to browsing without the frustration.
