Samsung’s recent One UI 6.1 update has been a breath of fresh air for many Galaxy device users. It brings a slew of exciting features and optimizations, particularly for older devices. However, amidst the praise, a dark cloud hangs over Samsung Galaxy devices, specifically concerning the beloved Galaxy Enhance-X app crashing when executing certain functions.

For users like myself, the Galaxy Enhance-X app has been a game-changer. Its ability to upscale images or breathe new life into old photos is nothing short of magical. But since updating to One UI 6.1, the Enhance-X app has become a source of frustration, frequently crashing when attempting to use certain features, particularly the image resolution enhancement function.

This is far from an isolated experience. Browsing online forums like Reddit and Samsung’s official community reveals a chorus of disgruntled Samsung Galaxy users facing the same predicament. Their stories mirror my own — the app crashes when using specific options, rendering it practically unusable.

One user comments, “So when I try to increase the resolution of an image, the Galaxy Enhance-X app crashes. I’ve tried everything – clearing cache, reinstalling the app, even unrestricted it from battery optimization, but it keeps crashing. Does anyone know a fix?” Another user echoes the sentiment, stating, “Galaxy Enhance crashes when I try to increase the resolution of a picture. This is incredibly frustrating!”

Galaxy Enhance-X crashing issue to be fixed in future

Thankfully, there’s a glimmer of hope from a Samsung Care Ambassador within the forums. They acknowledge the issue, stating, “It appears to be a bug that happened after the 6.1 update. For now, you can file an Error report… This will directly reach the developers.” However, this isn’t the first time the Galaxy Enhance-X app has encountered crashing issues following a major update. Similar problems arose after the One UI 6.0 update, affecting features like noise reduction and HEIF photo editing. However, it’s reassuring to know Samsung is aware of the problem and a fix is likely on the way.

While the current predicament primarily plagues the Galaxy S23 series, other One UI 6.1 devices like the Galaxy Z Flip 5 are also experiencing similar issues.

Despite the Galaxy Enhance-X woes, it’s crucial to remember that the One UI 6.1 update offers a plethora of benefits for Galaxy users. From new Galaxy AI features and interface improvements to enhanced performance optimizations, the update breathes new life into older devices.

Hopefully, Samsung will swiftly address the Galaxy Enhance-X crashing issue with a dedicated app update. Until then, users can report the problem through the Samsung Members app and leave reviews on the Galaxy Enhance-X app page to ensure their voices are heard.
