After my tweet went somewhat viral, the Riot Games Co-Founder has commented on the situation once again:
"I will talk to the team about Arcane skins in Fortnite, not sure what we can do if anything, but I will look into it."

Fortnite players might have reason to celebrate (or maybe not), as a Riot Games co-founder recently hinted at the possible comeback of the fan-favorite Arcane character skins. When these skins first dropped alongside the Netflix series, they let players suit up as the show’s stars Jinx and Vi. While they were only available for a limited time during Season 1’s release, many have been eagerly hoping to see them return to the item shop ever since.
The conversation sparked anew when a popular Fortnite leaker, Shiina, shared an alleged statement from the Riot Games co-founder on X. The co-founder initially mentioned, “It’s on us (that they don’t return). We only did it for the original launch of Arcane,” suggesting that the skins were not intended for a comeback. However, following what appears to be a significant reaction from the fanbase, the co-founder allegedly changed their stance, stating, “I will talk to the team about Arcane skins in Fortnite, not sure what we can do if anything, but I will look into it.”
The tipster who shared the information with Shiina claims they heard it on the co-founder’s live stream. This sudden shift in rhetoric seems to have reignited hope among Fortnite players and Arcane fans alike. Thousands have taken to Reddit with a mix of skepticism and optimism. Some players doubted the development, suggesting that this might just be a PR move, while others were on cloud nine at the possibility of seeing their favorite characters back in the Item Shop.
Some even discussed the potential benefits for Riot Games in terms of revenue, especially considering how “Arcane” has been a significant success, drawing in fans who might not otherwise engage with League of Legends.
But of course, the decision isn’t as simple as a quick yes or no. It likely involves negotiations between Epic Games and Riot Games, considering factors like intellectual property rights, market competition, and strategic brand alignment. After all, Fortnite and League of Legends are both games competing for players’ time, which complicates the whole process.
While there’s no definitive answer yet on whether the Arcane skins will return in 2025, the willingness of a Riot Games co-founder to revisit the discussion offers a glimmer of possibility. Matter of fact, the huge success limited-time OG map also resulted in Epic Games deciding to bring it back. But if I were you, I wouldn’t be holding my breath.
