After delaying the One UI 7 update for months, Samsung’s latest skin based on Android 15 is now making its way to its older flagship models. That said, while the update is live for the Galaxy S23 as well, it seems like users in certain regions will have to wait a couple of weeks or more to get the much-anticipated update.
Official support pages on Samsung’s regional websites are beginning to reflect updated schedules for the One UI 7 deployment. According to the information available on Samsung’s support site for India, the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra are all currently slated to receive the One UI 7 upgrade in May 2025. This is also the case for the Galaxy S23 FE.
Similarly, Samsung’s German support page lists the same May 2025 timeframe for the entire Galaxy S23 lineup, including the standard model, the Plus variant, the Ultra, and the FE. These official schedules from multiple significant markets suggest that a May release for the S23 series could be the plan for many users globally.
Adding to this, a user in Singapore on Reddit, vickseddit, mentioned, “In Singapore as well it’s scheduled for May for S23, source Members app”. This aligns with the official listings found on the Indian and German support sites.
So Galaxy S23 users who are eager to check out the new update might have to hold on to their excitement for a little while longer. Those with the S24 are in for a treat since the device is already picking up the One UI 7.0 update in many countries, including Germany and India.
Nevertheless, with all these rollout delays, we’re left wondering if it’ll also translate into a delayed development and release of Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8.0 skin based on Android 16. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
