Grok 3 has officially begun rolling out to X Premium Plus subscribers, giving them exclusive early access starting February 18. This rollout also includes access to DeepSearch, a feature that enhances search capabilities within X (formerly Twitter). While this may feel like a small consolation prize for Premium Plus users — especially after the recent price hike — it’s just the beginning of xAI’s plans for Grok.

Looking ahead, xAI will introduce SuperGrok, a separate subscription service designed specifically for Grok 3. This service will offer DeepSearch, higher image generation limits, and access to Grok 3 Mini’s advanced features, including Think. However, pricing details for SuperGrok remain under wraps, as they were not disclosed during the initial presentation.

What about Android users?

While iOS users of the Grok app have already begun enjoying Grok 3’s capabilities, Android users have been somewhat left behind. However, there’s light at the end of the tunnel for Android users. A user on X recently shared a screenshot from the Grok beta app on Android, showing a notification about the availability of Grok 3. This suggests that after a few weeks of beta testing, the Grok app is preparing for a broader rollout to Android users, and it will likely include support for Grok 3 for eligible subscribers.

This development has sparked considerable interest online, with many eager to know when they can experience Grok 3 within the app. The notification seen on the Android beta app hints at an imminent expansion of Grok 3 access, not just limited to iOS users but extending to Android as well. This move is not just about catching up with iOS but expanding the user base on Android, which has been testing the waters with the older version.

For those impatiently waiting for their turn to dive into the advanced features of Grok 3, the timeline remains somewhat vague. However, the notification from the Android beta app indicates that the rollout might be sooner rather than later, especially for those who have subscribed to the appropriate tiers.

Grok-on-Android

If you’re an Android user eager to get Grok 3, the best move might be to keep an eye on the Grok app’s Google Play Store page and watch for any updates. And if the iOS rollout is any indication, Android users shouldn’t have to wait too much longer.
