Want to add a touch of pink to your Instagram Notes? You’re not alone. Instagram’s Notes feature is quietly becoming a fun way to express yourself, and now, with a few specific words, you can turn those notes into a subtle pink hue. But you might not be able to replicate the color-changing notes in some cases, I’ll explain more about this later.

To transform your Instagram Notes to pink, simply use one of the following words:

  • Demure
  • Cutesy
  • Considerate
  • Mindful

You can use any of these words along with other text in your note. These words have been found to change the color of your note text to a subtle pink. Just type one of them in your note, and voila! Your note should now appear in a subtle pink shade. The saturation seems to be turned almost all the way down, so it might just appear off-white too, depending on the screen quality of your device. Here’s a screenshot of the newly added notes color:

Interestingly, the words “demure” and “mindful” aren’t just changing note colors—they’re also part of a trending TikTok movement. The word “demure” has become a viral sensation, with TikTok users applying it to all sorts of daily activities, often with a wink and a nod. Whether it’s about the way they drink their coffee or how they style their hair, everything can be “demure” nowadays.

This trend started with TikTok creator Jools Lebron, who posted videos on how to be “demure” in various settings, from the workplace to everyday life. The term quickly caught on, becoming a playful, semi-ironic way to describe anything subtly elegant or modest. Brands and even government departments have jumped on the bandwagon, using “demure” in their marketing.

That said, as mentioned in the beginning, there’s a chance that you might not see the color changing. While I was able to replicate the pink-colored Notes on Instagram for Android, I wasn’t able to do so on the iOS app. Note that both the apps were updated to the latest versions available on their respective app stores. Of course, your mileage may vary, since Instagram often A/B tests new features.

Speaking of which, earlier this month we spotted gold Notes on Instagram. However, it now seems that the addition of gold notes was only for a limited-time. Multiple users have confirmed that it no longer works. Furthermore, I also wasn’t able to get the note’s color to change to gold with any of the keywords. So it’s possible that Instagram might remove the pink notes too after a couple of weeks or so.
