Latest Soundmap update breaks game for some, but a fix is in the works

It seems a recent Soundmap update has thrown a wrench into the game for a number of players. Many users are reporting serious issues that are making the app practically unusable.

Players who updated their app are finding themselves stuck. The game just isn’t loading properly. Some are experiencing blank screens where content should be, like in the Trade section, which is meant to display various offers and auctions. Others are getting perpetual “Loading quests…” screens, preventing them from progressing in their “Quests” section. This is a pretty big deal for a game that relies on active engagement and daily tasks.

One user, d1hater6969, lamented losing out on two auctions they felt they could have won, simply because the game became unresponsive. Another player, Few-Horror1984, voiced their dismay on Reddit, saying, “My game is completely busted. I am watching my rank plummet as I can’t collect stops nor can I work on my quests. It’s really frustrating because I’m very close to my 1 year streak and it’s going to be lost.” User hattemily also stated, “It caused me to lose mine. I’m so frustrated over it and they won’t do anything.” Losing hard-earned streaks and progress is a major blow to dedicated players.

While many are facing these severe issues, not everyone has been affected. Some users, like KaliBatata, reported their game was functioning normally after the update. This inconsistency adds to the confusion, making it harder for players to know if they should update or not. Interestingly, one user, thesuperdad, found a temporary workaround by turning off their Wi-Fi, suggesting the problem might be related to network connectivity or data loading.

Luckily, it seems the developers are aware of the problem and are working on a fix. The official Soundmap account on X posted that they are “aware of the new issues some users are experiencing and are currently working on them.”

While there’s no ETA for a fix, it’s likely that the game will become playable for all within the next few hours. Server issues are usually fixed within 24 hours. Nevertheless, we’ll keep an eye out for any further developments and will post an update if there’s something to share.
