However, early adopters of the new phones soon began discovering an unmentioned restriction: a monthly usage limit on Essential Space processing. This detail wasn’t disclosed by Nothing during the product launch or in initial documentation. However, Android Authority had previously noted potential limitations based on their own investigation before users started reporting the issue.
Then, in a recent report, the publication did highlight the fact that a growing number of users have started noticing the limitation. Disappointment quickly surfaced on platforms like Reddit, where owners expressed feeling misled. Multiple users confirmed that the company’s terms and conditions do not mention the limit at all.
Seeking clarity, the one user contacted Nothing support and received a response confirming the limit. In a screenshot shared by the user, Nothing support acknowledged the situation:
We apologize sincerely for the misinformation… Regarding the essential space limit, We acknowledge that this information was not clearly communicated on our website or Terms of Service. We should have been more transparent about this limitation, and for that, We are truly sorry.
The support team also stated they are taking “immediate action” to update documentation for better clarity.
While this private confirmation addresses the user’s direct query, it underscores the core issue for many: the lack of upfront transparency about the feature’s limitations. Nothing has yet to release an official public statement addressing the Essential Space limits and the community’s concerns.
