After what seemed like an eternity, Samsung has finally officially confirmed the exact date when the One UI 7 update will begin rolling out. In a blog post published today on its global newsroom website, the company revealed the much awaited update will be released on April 7, which is inline with the recent leak we saw. Samsung also confirmed the list of devices that will first get the update. It includes the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6.
The blog post also touched upon some specific features included in the update, like Now Bar, AI Select, Writing Assist, Drawing Assist, Audio Eraser, etc. Checkout the following screenshot for details:
Samsung has also confirmed that after the first phase of rollout, the update will hit more devices including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, the Galaxy Tab S10 series and the Galaxy Tab S9 series.
The blog post contains a large fine print as well, revealing the release of One UI 7 update on April 7 is not set in stone for all markets around the world, which means your device – even if it’s confirmed to get the update in the first wave – may not get it on April 7 itself. Same goes for the devices that are set to get the update in second wave of the rollout.
The following screenshot shows the complete fine print:
