Samsung might be preparing to address some persistent Good Lock bugs with its upcoming One UI 7.0 update. A moderator from Samsung’s Good Lock support team recently confirmed fixes for two frustrating issues some users have been facing.
First up is the folder settings bug in Home Up. Some users reported that their folder icon arrangements reset whenever they toggled Good Lock’s Home Up module on and off. According to a Good Lock mod, this problem has been identified and will be fixed in the One UI 7.0 software update.
Another major annoyance involves LockStar and Always-On Display (AOD) customization. On devices like the Galaxy S24, users noticed that the positions of icons on the lock screen were linked to their AOD settings. This made it impossible to adjust the layout for both features independently. For example, notification icons and the calendar widget often overlapped, creating a messy display. Here’s a screenshot shared by a user highlighting the concern:
The Good Lock mod acknowledged this as a bug and confirmed that a fix is in the works for One UI 7.0. These issues weren’t exactly major concerns but were noticeable enough to result in some users complaining about the bugs.
Good Lock is one of Samsung’s standout customization tools, offering granular control over the interface. But these bugs seem to have been a slight pain for users trying to enjoy their personalized setups. Now that the mod confirmed that the issues will be addressed with the upcoming update, it’s just a waiting game.
For now, users experiencing these issues might want to hold tight and wait for the One UI 7.0 update. While Samsung hasn’t officially revealed a roadmap for One UI 7.0, we expect to see it go live for multiple eligible models in Q1 of 2025. Rumors suggest that Samsung might drop the beta in mid-December. So you might want to hang in there for a couple of weeks if you want to get your hands on the update ahead of the general public.
