Samsung’s anticipated One UI 7.0 update has experienced significant delays, prompting the company to adjust its software release strategy. Initially, One UI 7.0 was expected to roll out to a range of Galaxy devices at by now, including the Galaxy S24 series and various mid-range models, bringing enhancements in stability and compatibility. However, unforeseen challenges during the beta testing phase have led to a postponement of the stable release.

According to reports, Samsung has decided to forego the incremental One UI 7.1 and 7.1.1 updates. Instead, the company plans to focus its efforts on expediting the development and release of One UI 8.0, which will be based on Android 16. This decision aims to align with Google’s anticipated Android 16 release in late Q2 2025, positioning Samsung to launch One UI 8.0 as early as Q3 2025.
