ChatGPT seems to be experiencing significant outages today, with users across the globe reporting a range of errors. Many are unable to access the service, while others are encountering error messages like “unusual activity,” “hmm something went wrong,” “request time out,” “too many concurrent requests” or are facing issues loading chat history.

OpenAI has acknowledged the problem, stating they are actively investigating “elevated error rates” across their services. Users have taken to social media platforms like Reddit and X to share their experiences, with some expressing concern about lost work or inability to complete assignments.

One user on Reddit lamented, “Man, I was just in the middle of something, and it just cut out, and now I can’t chat to load… First time really in 3 years lol.” Another quipped, “Someone turn it back on so I don’t have to think.”
