Trainers around the world are experiencing frustration with Pokémon GO’s showcase feature following the recent v0.321 update. Multiple players have taken to Reddit and X to report that the sorting function for showcases appears to be malfunctioning, potentially impacting their ability to compete effectively in these events.
According to reports, the showcase sorting now seems to organize Pokémon by CP (Combat Power) rather than size, which is the intended metric for many showcase events. This discrepancy is causing confusion and hindering players’ ability to select their largest Pokémon for competitions.
One Redditor, V6SRS, pointed out that the problem was introduced with the 0.321 update, stating, “It was broken by the 0.321 update. It was posted, but got downvoted, probably due to people who hadn’t updated not seeing the problem.” Here’ a screenshot of the page for reference:
The glitch appears to be widespread, affecting players across different regions. Trainers from around the world have all chimed in to confirm the sorting malfunction on their end.
While the sorting feature is broken, some players have noted that the actual scoring system for showcases remains intact. User Escargot7147 commented, “Yup, definitely a sorting error. But fortunately, the scores still work.”
This issue has also sparked discussion about the need for more robust sorting options in the game. One player expressed a desire for a basic size-sorting feature outside of showcases, stating, “I wish we had size as a basic option for sorting. I have more than 3 XXL of many Pokémon but am not exactly sure which 3 are the biggest.”
As of now, Niantic, the developer of Pokémon GO, has not officially addressed the problem. Players are hoping for a quick fix, especially with ongoing and upcoming showcase events. In the meantime, trainers are advised to manually check their Pokémon sizes when selecting creatures for showcases, rather than relying on the in-game sorting feature.
