Scrolling through Reddit on an Android phone lately? You might have noticed something pretty annoying. I certainly did. While Browse on my Pixel 8 using Reddit version 2025.14.0, I realized the very last comment on many threads gets cut off at the bottom.
It seems I’m not the only one scratching my head over this. Many Reddit users on Android are reporting the same frustrating glitch across various forums, including Reddit’s own help sections. The problem is simple but irritating: the final comment in a thread, or at least the bottom portion of it, is obscured by the text box used for adding a new comment.
Here’s a screenshot I took of a thread for reference. Check the bottom comment:
This isn’t an issue confined to just one brand or model of phone. Reports are flooding in from users with different devices. People using Samsung Galaxy phones, including the latest models, are experiencing it. Pixel phone owners, OnePlus users, and people with various other Android handsets have all chimed in to say they’re facing the same bug.
The shared experience has brought some small comfort to users who initially thought their phone was malfunctioning. User judal57 commented on a thread, “I am having the same issue with my s25U. Nice to know it’s not only me.” Similarly, Suspicious-Juice0303 wrote, “Oh man it’s glad to see others with the same issue, I thought for days it was just my phone. Ive tried so many things to fix it, but nothing works.”
Indeed, common troubleshooting steps don’t seem to help much. Users have reported trying to clear the app’s cache, force closing the app, restarting their phones, and even completely uninstalling and reinstalling Reddit. Unfortunately, these actions haven’t provided a lasting fix for most people experiencing the cutoff comments.
The widespread nature of the problem across different Android hardware strongly suggests this is a bug within the Reddit application itself, likely introduced in a recent update. While waiting for an official patch, some users suggest a potential workaround: joining the Reddit beta program via the Google Play Store. Reports indicate the issue might be fixed in the beta version of the app.
That said, since this isn’t a major issue, I’ll probably hold out for the next stable update that should address the bug. But if you don’t mind hopping over to the beta channel, go ahead. It’s a small bug, but definitely an annoying one, especially when the hidden comment might hold the key information you were looking for.
Let’s just hope the patch arrives sooner rather than later.
