Xbox players are still waiting for fixes to Rocket League’s FPS and stability issues over a month after a major update caused widespread problems. The game has been locked at 60 FPS or less for many players on Xbox Series X and Series S since the v2.46 update in early December. The update also removed the “Video Quality” setting, leaving players stuck without a way to adjust performance.

Players have flooded X and Reddit with complaints about pathetic frame rates and input lag. Some say it feels like the game is running at 30 FPS rather than 60. Frustrations are growing as users question when they’ll see a return to the smoother 120 FPS gameplay they had before.

Rocket League’s developers acknowledged the issues on December 4, promising to investigate and deliver fixes “later this month.” However, weeks have passed without any clear resolution. One user joked that we’ll get GTA 6 before Xbox gets 120 FPS back. Others are calling the game “unplayable” and say they’ve stopped playing entirely.

A recent post from Rocket League Status reiterated that fixes are in the works, but players are growing impatient. “Are you ever gonna fix Xbox FPS and input delay?” one player posted, echoing widespread concerns. Another comment highlighted the deteriorating experience, saying, “I used to stay around high plat/low diamond for years and now I’m down to gold 2 because of these issues.”

For now, Xbox players are stuck waiting for Epic Games and Psyonix to deliver on their promises. While the developers have yet to provide a concrete timeline, players are hoping the next update will finally restore Rocket League’s smooth gameplay on Xbox consoles. Until then, it seems you will have to wait it out.
