If you’re a Samsung Galaxy owner in India plagued by the dreaded green line on your screen, there’s good news. The tech giant has reportedly extended its free screen repair program to cover more models and a longer period.

Previously limited to Galaxy S21 and S22 users, the program now includes the Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S22 Ultra users, offering a lifeline to those affected by this frustrating issue. And you’ll have until September 30, 2024, to take advantage of this offer, as long as your device was purchased within the last three years.

While the screen panel itself is free, remember that you’ll still need to cover the labor charges and provide proof of purchase. Some users have reported facing resistance from service centers, so it’s worth contacting Samsung’s customer care or voicing your concerns on social media if you encounter any difficulties.

The green line (screen) issue has plagued various Samsung models, sometimes appearing seemingly out of nowhere, even without any physical damage to the phone. Although often associated with drops or shocks, some users have reported the issue arising after software updates, and Samsung has yet to acknowledge a definitive cause.

While this issue isn’t unique to Samsung, with other brands like OnePlus, Google, and Motorola also experiencing similar problems, Samsung’s extended repair program is a step in the right direction. OnePlus currently leads the pack with a lifetime warranty for this issue, followed closely by Samsung, Google, and Motorola.

If you’re a Samsung Galaxy owner dealing with this display defect, don’t hesitate to reach out to Samsung India and claim your free repair.
