Samsung’s popular keyboard app for Android devices has reportedly quietly removed several notable extensions in recent months. The extensions for Grammarly, Spotify, and YouTube are no longer available, according to a recent report.

The Grammarly extension was particularly useful, offering real-time grammar and spelling checks as users typed. The Spotify add-on allowed users to search for and share song links directly from the keyboard, while the YouTube extension provided similar functionality for video content.

SamMobile first reported the disappearance of these extensions, noting that the change seems to have occurred gradually over the past few months. However, the publication later updated the post to highlight that some users still report having access to the Grammarly extension, suggesting the removal may not be universal across all markets and devices.

The reason for the removal of these extensions remains unclear. Samsung has not officially commented on the situation, leaving users to speculate about potential issues or policy changes. Some online discussions suggest that the YouTube extension may have been removed due to concerns about bypassing parental restrictions, but this remains unconfirmed.

These extensions were a significant draw for many users, setting Samsung Keyboard apart from other Android keyboard options. Their removal will likely leave many questioning whether to continue using Samsung Keyboard or switch to alternative apps.
