The Samsung Galaxy S25 has landed, and while it’s turning heads with its sleek design and powerful features, some early adopters are reporting a few issues with work profiles, Goodlock malfunctions, and Gemini acting up.

The biggest wrinkle appears to be a compatibility issue with work profiles. For many professionals, the ability to separate work from play is more than a convenience — it’s a necessity. Unfortunately, several Galaxy S25 users have encountered persistent errors when setting up their work profiles through popular platforms like Microsoft Intune and Google Workspace. Despite following every instruction and double-checking credentials, the process stalls with error messages.

The root of the problem appears to lie in Samsung’s delayed enrollment of the Galaxy S25 into the Android Enterprise program. This critical registration, which governs how work profiles are managed, remains pending. As a result, users trying to register their devices for corporate use find themselves locked out, with the work profile creation process failing at a crucial registration step.

One IT director lamented that even after the device appears to have partially set up the work profile, the final connection never materializes. For many, this means that crucial work emails and business apps are out of reach — a frustrating predicament that could even lead some to consider returning their new phone.

While the work profile issue dominates the headlines, a few users have also reported glitches with Samsung’s Goodlock app. The popular customization tool seems to be having a rough day on the Galaxy S25 series, with several modules (including the much-discussed Navstar) not performing as expected. Users have noted that options appear inactive or display connectivity errors, and despite workarounds like sideloading updated APKs from trusted sources, the experience remains inconsistent.

A Samsung Care Ambassador’s response is to assure users that a fully updated Goodlock — compatible with Android 15 and the latest One UI 7 — is on the way. As it stands, the service glitches have become an inconvenience rather than a deal-breaker, with many hoping that stability will be restored in due time alongside the release of the Galaxy S24’s stable One UI 7 update.

Adding to the collection of quirks, the Gemini digital assistant on the S25 series is also stumbling. Users report that the app either crashes immediately upon launch with a “Google keeps stopping” error message or refuses to function as intended. Although clearing the cache and reinstalling updates have been among the troubleshooting tips, the Gemini assistant remains non-functional on the new devices.

Interestingly, the issue seems to be isolated to the Galaxy S25, as older models like the S24 Ultra continue to run Gemini without a hitch. Samsung is yet to provide a definitive fix for the assistant. There’s also no word on what happened to the swipe gesture to launch Google Assistant.

As Samsung works to finalize the enrollment of its new devices into the Android Enterprise program, be sure to keep an eye on upcoming software updates that promise to iron out these issues. In the meantime, for those who can afford to wait, the Galaxy S25 may yet redeem itself with all its cutting-edge features.
