Spotify is investigating a bug in its mobile app that causes songs to be duplicated when users try to delete or add songs to their playlists. The problem appears to have started a couple of weeks ago, according to reports from users on the Spotify Community forum.

Several users have reported that when they try to delete a song from their queue, the song is instead duplicated at the end of the queue. This can happen with both shuffled and non-shuffled playlists. The bug seems to only affect playlists with more than 50 songs.

Several users have tried reinstalling the app and clearing their cache, but these solutions do not appear to fix the problem. Spotify support has acknowledged the issue and is currently investigating it. They have requested that users who are experiencing the bug provide information about their device, operating system, and Spotify app version.

In the meantime, there is no known workaround for the bug. However, users can try to avoid it by adding and removing songs from the beginning of their queue.

The bug has disrupted the music streaming experience for several users, with playlists getting cluttered with unwanted duplicates. As Spotify continues to investigate and work on a fix, users are encouraged to provide detailed reports, including their device’s make and model, OS version, and Spotify app version, to aid in the resolution process.
