In April, Streamlabs, a part of Logitech, launched a free TikTok Live streaming integration, promising gamers a seamless way to share their gameplay with followers straight from their PCs or phones. But, just as gamers started to get cozy with this new feature, the weekend brought an unwelcome surprise: the integration began to glitch.

Instead of going live on TikTok, gamers are now getting stuck at the starting line. Reports popped up across Reddit and X describing a frustrating new roadblock. When attempting to go live, Streamlabs users received the message: “Failed to generate TikTok stream credentials. Confirm Live access with TikTok.” Despite having the necessary permissions, streamers found themselves in an endless loop of attempts and failures.

This issue hasn’t gone unnoticed. Streamlabs quickly acknowledged the problem on X, assuring users that they’ve escalated the issue to TikTok’s team. “We are aware of an issue with users connecting to TikTok. We’ve already escalated to the TikTok team and they are working to resolve it. We will let you know when it is live again. Appreciate your patience!” they posted. A follow-up post later confirmed they were still awaiting further information from TikTok.

TikTok’s gaming business development and partnerships lead in the US, Chris Castagnetto, had high hopes for the integration, seeing it as a way to increase gaming streams on the platform. He’ll be hoping this is just a minor bump that’ll go away sooner than later.

For now, Streamlabs users are eagerly awaiting the fix that will let them return to sharing their gaming adventures live on TikTok. Until then, you may have to shift streams to other platforms like Twitch and YouTube to keep your followers entertained.
