T-Mobile is making some changes to its mobile banking service, T-Mobile MONEY, and you need to take action before March 18, 2025, to keep your account running smoothly.

Starting April 1, 2025, T-Mobile MONEY accounts will be moving from Customers Bank to Coastal Community Bank, which is also a member of the FDIC. This means your money will still be safe and sound, just under a different banking roof. However, you need to approve this transfer by March 18, 2025 if you want to keep using your account without any hiccups.

If you’re a fan of direct deposits, scheduled transfers, or automatic bill payments, you’ll want to make sure you opt-in for this transfer. If you do, everything will continue to work just as it does now. Your debit card? Still good to go. Your automatic payments? No interruptions. It’s business as usual, just with a different bank behind the scenes.

But if you don’t take action by March 18, 2025, your account will be restricted at 5 PM ET on that day, and then closed between March 19 and March 28. If you don’t approve the transfer, T-Mobile will send you a check for your remaining balance to the address they have on file. To avoid any disruptions, T-Mobile recommends transferring your funds out of your account before 5 PM ET on March 18, 2025, and making alternative arrangements for your routine transactions.

How to approve the transfer

Approving the transfer is pretty straightforward. When you click the approval link in the email, you’ll be taken to a consent page where you can review the details and give your aproval. You’ll need to agree to the E-Sign Disclosure and Consent, the Account Disclosures/Terms and Conditions, and the Privacy Policy. Once you’ve done that, just hit the “Approve” button, and you’re all set.

If you have any questions or need assistance, T-Mobile MONEY Specialists are available to help you out. You can reach them daily from 8 AM to 12 AM ET by dialing MONEY from your T-Mobile phone or calling 866-686-9358. They’re there to make sure this transition is as smooth as possible for you.
