Telegram users are in for a treat as Elon Musk’s Grok AI chatbot is now available on the platform, for those who have Premium subscriptions. If you’ve got a Premium account, you can start chatting with Grok by searching for @GrokAI on Telegram.
Grok, built by Musk’s xAI, is one of the slickest AI models around thanks to its unfiltered responses. For the most part, Grok has only been accessible via its dedicate apps, website, and X. Now, it’s hitting Telegram, which just crossed 1 billion monthly active users. Pretty huge timing, right?
What’s Grok good for? A lot. You can ask it questions, get help with writing, or even sort out coding problems. Having it right in Telegram makes things super easy. That said, I tried asking Grok what version it is running — Grok 2 or Grok 3 — but it didn’t spill the beans.
In my quick hands-on, I noticed you don’t get access to features like “Think” or “DeepSearch” so you’ll still want to get on X or the dedicated Grok app if you want to use those.
For Telegram, this could be yet another way to lure more people to go Premium. It’s a win-win: they make more cash, and users get a top-tier AI tool. If you’re not Premium, though, you’re out of luck for now. Might be time to think about upgrading!
