Threads is taking a big step toward giving users more control over their social media experience. Following reports in July that the app was testing a “Your feeds” feature, which allows mobile users to view custom feeds directly from their homepage, Threads is now working on a more advanced customization tool. Users will soon be able to create personalized feeds based on multiple keywords and hashtags, even setting a custom name for each feed.

This feature doesn’t stop at just words and hashtags; you can also add up to 150 accounts to each custom feed. While this limit might evolve during development, it’s clear that Threads is focused on offering a tailored experience. With a simple tap on the “+” button in the search bar, users can easily create and manage these personalized feeds.

The move mirrors a feature already available on the redesigned desktop app, bringing more consistency across platforms and making it easier than ever to keep track of the content that matters most to you. Whether you’re looking to filter out noise, focus on specific topics, or keep up with your favorite creators, Threads is making it happen with the new custom feeds feature.

Stay tuned as this development progresses — Threads might just become your go-to app for a finely tuned social media experience.
