Update (March 09, 2024): For the past few days, many Trust Wallet users were complaining about the Trust Wallet app freezing (or not loading at all) after the latest update. Thankfully, the company confirmed the problem with Android app version 8.10 , and has released a new version 8.10.1 that they say is aimed at fixing this issue. Here’s the official tweet sent out by the company:

Original story follows

Is the Trust Wallet app not working for you at all, or you are facing other issues (related to balance display etc)? I did some research and found some actionable items for you in this regard. So, without any further ado, here’s what all you can do.

Here’s what Trust Wallet says you should do if the app is not working

The company has a support page specifically for troubleshooting the Trust Wallet app if it’s not working properly. Please keep in mind that these steps may seem generic, but are essential in the troubleshooting process. Here you go:

  • Restart your device.
  • See if your internet connection is working properly – try loading the app first over WiFi and then over mobile data.
  • If you are in a country that blocks accessing Crypto related sites or apps, then try accessing Trust Wallet through a VPN service.
  • Keep in mind that the Trust Wallet app works only with newer versions of iOS and Android. For iOS, you need at least iOS13 and higher. And for Android devices, Android OS 6.0 or higher is required, the company says.
  • Make sure you are downloading the Trust Wallet app from official sources: Google Play and Apple Store.
  • And in case you are having problems even in the latest version, you also have the option to use the beta version of the app. In case you don’t know, beta builds sometimes contain fixes for problems being reported in the latest stable version. However, they may have some other issues.

Moving on, in a different support page, the company also suggests doing the following additional steps :

Clear the app cache from your device’s settings. This can often resolve any issues related to the app’s performance. After you clear the cache, force close the app and retry.

Try to do a re-import of your wallet. This can be done by following the instructions provided within the Trust Wallet app or from here.

There is also a dedicated Troubleshooting page on their forum website that’s worth checking as well.

How to contact Trust Wallet customer support?

  • You can get in touch with the customer support by submitting a ticket here or here.
  • The company also asks its customers to be cautious of scammers, who try to message you privately offering solutions to solve your problem. If you come across any such person or message, the company urges you to contact their forum admins or get in touch with the company on Telegram.
  • If you want, you can post your question on their forum website as well. Here is for the section for English speaking users.
  • Of course, you can also directly reach out to Trust Wallet on Twitter at @TrustWallet.

In addition to these, there’s also a Trust Wallet community on Reddit where you can ask  your questions and get responses from fellow users. Please keep in mind that this community is unofficial.

Other useful resources I found

  • If you are trying to find out why the Trust Wallet app is showing you an error while trying to send cryptocurrencies, then I’d recommend giving answers in this Quora thread a read.
  • On YouTube, I found a few useful videos (1,2,3) that you may want to check out if you are facing some common issues with your app.

Well, that’s it from my side on this matter. If the article helped you in any way, then please like it and also leave a comment. In case any other workaround fixed your problem, do share it in the comments section below. Thanks in advance.
