Last month, US Mobile’s CEO — Ahmed Khattak — confirmed that they were working on enabling RCS support after dozens of customers demanded the company to enable RCS following the release of iOS 18, which introduced RCS messaging support for iPhones. Just under a month later, it seems some steady progress has indeed been made.

A few hours ago, the CEO took to Reddit again to announce that RCS is now live on the US Mobile network. Here’s a snippet from their post:

How fast was that?! 🙌 Thank you all for pushing us! RCS is now certified and live on Warp! We’ve already begun provisioning accounts, and within the next 24 hours, it’ll be enabled for everyone. 🔥

While this news seems exciting, it comes with a catch. As the CEO mentioned, RCS is currently live for their Warp customers only. Meaning, if you are on the Dark Star or Lightspeed networks, you won’t be able to use RCS just yet. Luckily, Khattak did confirm that they’ll be sharing dates for RCS availability on these two networks next week.

So if you’re on US Mobile’s Warp network and have been eagerly waiting for RCS, it looks like the wait is over. However, there’s been mixed feedback about the suggested step to reset network settings, with some users finding alternative ways to get RCS working. For example, several Reddit users mentioned success by toggling their eSIM on and off rather than resetting their network settings, which avoids losing saved Wi-Fi networks, VPNs, and other critical settings.

In the meantime, if you’re a Warp user, check your settings and see if toggling your eSIM helps you enable RCS without needing a full network reset. The pace at which US Mobile has moved on this front has impressed users, with many praising Khattak’s direct communication style and responsiveness. If you’re on Warp, now’s the time to explore RCS. For those on other networks, patience is key—your time is coming soon.
