US Mobile is gearing up for a major shift in its services next month. CEO Ahmed Khattak confirmed something big is happening with Dark Star, the company’s upgraded network platform, on February 11. Khattak took to Reddit to share a link to a teaser of Dark Star on the US Mobile website, urging customers to stay tuned for a “big announcement.” They also answered some questions that we’ll highlight below.

Dark Star promises to streamline US Mobile’s offerings with what Khattak calls “one plan to rule them all,” though specifics remain under wraps. The CEO hinted that multi-network support which will allow customers to switch between carriers for better coverage, will play a key role.

When asked if this means seamless network switching, Khattak simply replied, “Multi-network will be part of this.” Current details suggest the feature could work similarly to Google Fi’s now-defunct multi-carrier model, which automatically connected users to the strongest available signal.

For iPhone users, the update brings long-awaited upgrades. Khattak confirmed that RCS messaging and Visual Voicemail support will arrive in March through a carrier bundle update. However, it’s worth mentioning that the carrier also enabled RCS support on iPhones for customers on the Warp plan in October last year.

Starting February 11, premium plan subscribers will get a new perk — 10 GB of international roaming data in 12 countries, including Mexico, Canada, Japan, and several European nations. Another 15 destinations will follow later. Users can either add the roaming package or temporarily upgrade to premium while traveling. Khattak clarified that existing plan prices won’t change, calling the updates “mega good” for current customers.

The news comes after weeks of user complaints about spotty Visual Voicemail performance, particularly on Warp, US Mobile’s Verizon-based network. While Khattak acknowledged the issues, he redirected focus to Dark Star’s broader impact. “This is bigger,” he said, adding that the March iOS update should resolve most problems.

The company’s teaser page, now live at USMobile.com/dark-star-teaser, offers few clues but urges visitors to sign up for updates. With the February 11 launch just days away, customers are waiting to see if DarkStar lives up to its promise of reshaping wireless plans. As Khattak put it, “Everything will change.”
